Explore the Cottonwood trees along Limpia Creek and learn why they are an important desert species.

Do you know what Cottonwood trees signify here in the desert? They are an indicator of water underground. Let's learn more about these beautiful desert dwellers as we explore the primitive side of the park. 

 

Meet: At the park front office

Bring: Hiking shoes, water, hat, sunscreen, trekking poles (if needed)

Cost: Free for campers or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass
