Sorry folks....the weather is not going to cooperate with us tonight. Heavy cloud cover is predicted so we need to cancel.

Have you noticed how dark the night skies are out here in the Davis Mountains? We're in the middle of the largest dark sky-certified area on the planet - the Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve. That's why we host Dark Sky Training for new park interpreters and host several dark sky programs per month. Our rangers will illuminate the hazards of light pollution, point out constellations in view, and guide you on a telescope tour. Chairs are NOT provided. Please bring one if needed. 

Meet: at the far end of Skyline Drive by the CCC Rock Lookout 

Bring: chair, flashlight (preferably red light), dog-friendly, bug spray

Cost: free for campers, Indian Lodge guests, or day users w/ permit - daily entrance fee is $6.00/adult, or free for the carload with Texas State Park Pass
