Yes, it's a real thing and fun for all ages.

Microfishing is the intent to catch fish smaller than 6 inches long with a pole and line. Did you know? Of the 169 Texas inland fish species,  only 17 are considered game fish. The rest, typically what we consider "minnows", are diverse, integral and fun to catch.

Join myself, Michael Scherer, Program Director of Fishing's Future and Richard Loveland, TPWD Fish & Wildlife Technician at Heart of the Hills Fisheries Science Center for this FREE online class as we share info on it's origins, an overview on supplies and gear and - through experience - practical ways to try it yourself and others of all ages on the water near you.

All ages are welcome - participants 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Pre-registration is required. To register, click here and complete the form. A Zoom link will be sent out to registrants closer to the class date.
