Angler Education Instructor Training Workshop - Two Part Online

Become a Texas Parks and Wildlife Certified Angler Education Instructor

Workshop has filled. 

This free workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in learning and teaching fishing skills in their communities. No fishing experience required. 
This is a 2 part, online workshop. You must attend both sessions to become certified. Make up sessions are not available. The workshop includes interactive sessions that require all participants to be on camera with a mic and speakers. 
After certification, the program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help volunteers successfully introduce others to fishing. Ideal for fishing clubs, teachers, scout, or youth group leaders, after school or camp staff and community volunteers. TEA-approved CPE available for teachers.

Dates: Monday, July 13, 2026 and Thursday, July 16, 2026

Time: 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm each day  

Pre-registration is required and is limited to 25 attendees.
