Become a Certified Angler Education Instructor

THIS IS A TWO-PART WORKSHOP, attendees must attend both sessions for certification. Session 1 is March 16, 6-9pm (Wednesday); session 2 is March 17, 6-9 pm (Thursday). There are no make-up sessions. 

This free workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in learning and teaching fishing skills in their communities.  After certification, the program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help volunteers successfully introduce others to fishing. Ideal for fishing clubs, teachers, scout or youth group leaders, after school or camp staff and community volunteers. TEA-approved CPE available for teachers. Participants must be on-camera and have audio (microphone and speakers) to fully participate during each session. 

Pre-registration is required and is limited to 25 attendees. To register for the workshop, click on this link and select the blue Sign Up button:

For new TPWD volunteers: 
Click on the blue "New Volunteer" link on the left and follow the prompts to create a volunteer profile.

Please remember to authorize and complete the Criminal Background Check section. All fields must be completed including your date of birth and Driver's License number.

For current TPWD volunteers:
Click on the "log in" link enter your TPWD User ID and Password.
