Become a Certified Angler Education Volunteer Instructor
This free workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in teaching fishing skills in their communities. The program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help volunteers successfully introduce youth, adults and families to fishing. Ideal for teachers, scout or youth group leaders, afterschool or camp staff and community volunteers. TEA-approved CPE credit is available for teachers.
This is a two-part training, to receive certification participants must attend both sessions (5:30 - 8:30 pm each day) on two Tuesday, January 24th and January 31st. No make-up sessions will be offered if you miss a session or are late signing in.
Participants must be on-camera and have audio (microphone and speakers) to fully participate during each Zoom session. Instructions for accessing the Zoom will be sent before the workshop date.
