Annual Kid Fish Clinic

Bring the family to have fun and learn the basics of fishing with hands-on activities.

Youth (age 5-12 years) and adults can learn the basics of fishing. Equipment and bait will be provided, or bring your own gear. Topics will include; knot-tying, fishing rules and regulations, fish ID/habitat, safety, environmental stewardship, beginner/advance casting and an opportunity to catch rainbow trout.

Three sessions are available:
Session #1 (8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.)
Session #2 (11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
Session #3 (2:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Bring a snack, water, sunscreen, bug spray, chairs; and dress for the weather. Adults must accompany children.

Preregistration space is limited to 50 children per session, but not required. There will also be 50 spaces for children not preregistered, (walk-in) per session. Preregistered children will receive a free event T-shirt. Children that complete the fish clinic will receive a free rod-n-reel while supplies last.   Preregistration opens January 28, 2019 and will close when sessions are filled, or on February 10, 2019, whichever comes first. The event is FREE. No fishing license required. Park entrance fee is $3.00 per person 13 years and older.
