Basic Fishing Clinic - Fort Parker State Park

Come learn the basics of fishing at Fort Parker State Park.

This FREE clinic is designed to introduce participants to the sport of fishing using fun hands-on activities. Topics will include fishing ethics, regulations, basic tackle, rods and reels, casting practice, knot tying, baits and lures, tackle boxes and equipment, fish handling, fish identification, and casting practice.

Please bring your snacks and drinks. Dress appropriately for the weather. All educational materials and equipment will be provided. This class is designed for adults and youth ages 7 and up. Youth must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 

Pre-registration is required - To register contact Dr. Lon Brown.  Event is free, but park entrance fees apply unless you have a State Park Pass. The class is limited to 20 registrants.
