USA Archery Level One Instructor Certification

Become a USA Archery Level 1 instructor and bring archery to your community. You will become certified to set up and run a safe and efficient archery range and teach the basic steps of archery shooting success to audiences of all abilities and backgrounds.

Become a USA Archery Level 1 instructor and bring archery to your community. You will become certified to set up and run a safe and efficient archery range and teach the basic steps of archery shooting success to audiences of all abilities and backgrounds.

The TPWD administered USA Archery Level 1 instructor certification will teach you how to design, build, run and expand archery programs.

The class is designed for parks and recreation professionals, outdoor educators, after school groups, community programs, clubs and social organizations.

The class covers:

  • Range Setup and Safety
  • Equipment, Inspection and Repair
  • How to Outfit a Class with Equipment
  • Steps of Shooting, Drills, Activities and Games
  • Teaching The First Archery Class
  • Coaching Techniques
  • Creating a Program and Lesson Plans, Other Archery Programs and Grants
  • Adapted Archery, Equipment and Resources
  • Target-, Field- and 3D Archery Disciplines
  • Earning and Maintaining your Certification and Additional Certifications

 

To register for this class register with the TPWD  Volunteer Management System and sign up for the Community Archery Classes and Events in North Texas.  Then, email Immanuel Salas with what audience/organizations you currently work with and which which training date you are interested in.
