Learn to Fish - Farmers Branch

Come learn the basics of fishing at this fun, FREE clinic!

This free class, taught by TPWD Angler Education Certified Volunteer Instructors, is designed to introduce adults and youth ages 6 and up to the sport of fishing using fun, hands-on activities. 

Topics will include fishing rules and regulations and ethics; fishing safety; marine debris and it’s impact on the environment; rods, reels, and terminal tackle; fishing knots; fish identification and handling, casting instruction/practice; waterside fishing. 

Please bring water and snacks.  Expect to be outside and dress accordingly.

All educational materials and equipment will be provided. 

Youth must be accompanied by an adult at all times - No drop-offs, please.
