Dutch Oven Cooking 101

Cook with cast iron like the settlers and learn the rich history of the Dutch Oven!

The historic art of Dutch oven cooking isn't "new," but it can be a new skill you learn and share! 

Expect to:

• Learn a little bit about the history of this traditional cookware 
• Learn the basics of how to properly care for and use cast iron cookware 
• Observe a cooking demonstration
• Sample a dish made by our ranger or volunteer while supplies last

What to bring: 

• Camp chair, water, sunblock, bug spray
• Personal eating utensils (reduce, reuse, recycle!)
