Summit Hike

Join a park ranger or Master Naturalist as we hike to the top of Enchanted Rock!
Along the way, we'll learn about the geology, history and biology of this special place. We'll hear tales of derring-do and see sweeping panoramic views!
Meet at the Gazebo at the beginning of the Summit Trail.
Time: Approximately 2 hours.
Distance: 1.5 miles round trip.
Elevation gain: 425 feet.
Bring:
- Walking or hiking shoes
- Plenty of water
- Sunscreen
- Dress for the weather
Entrance fee for the park is $7/person (children 12 and under are free); no additional fee for this program.
Entry is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.

Texas State Parks has a NEW reservation system. While we do not require reservations for any events at this time, without a day-use reservation, we cannot guarantee entrance into the park to attend this event. Reservations can be made online.
