*POSTPONED to 12/29* Explore some of the most popular night sky objects that winter has to offer at a Dark Sky Park (weather-permitting).

This event was postponed to 12/29 due to rain on the original date.

Join a Park Ranger that will point out some of the most common night sky objects this time of year and hear their stories, including the moon, planets, and any visible constellations. You'll have the chance to look through a telescope at a few select objects as well!

This event is weather-permitted. Cloud cover, rain, or severe weather will result in cancelling this program. The call to cancel will be made by 12 PM day-of and posted here on this page.

Meet: At the bottom of the Gazebo steps.

Bring: Camp chair or blanket (optional, but we will be on hard ground), dress for the weather, flashlight (only for getting to/from the program; red lights best).

Note: We'll be in a pet-friendly area. Dogs must stay on leash at all times.

This event is free with the purchase of a day pass or overnight camping permit. These can be reserved at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. Adults 13+ are $8/person; children 12 and younger are free.
