Explore the geological oddities of the desert landscape at Hoodoos Trailhead.

• Meet: Hoodoos trailhead
• Accessibility: Parking will be available at the Hoodoos parking lot. Restrooms are available at the Arenosa Campground. Bring your own water. There are multiple difficulties of trails ranging from easy - moderate. Trip hazards, snakes, and additional hazards are possible. 
• What to expect: We will get our hands dirty by using clay, sand and dirt to learn about Weathering, Erosion, Deposition and how it shapes our desert landscape at the Hoodoos.
• What to bring:
• Water
• Bug Spray
• Sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, etc.)
• Protective clothing (Long sleeves, pants, socks, closed-toed shoes/boots)
• Fees: Program is included in park entry fees- $5 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. Register at one of our Visitor Centers- Fort Leaton State Historic Site or Barton Warnock Visitor Center. Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather.
