Celebrating Ynes Mexia

At a time when women were meant to stay in and take care of the home, Ynes Mexia was outside exploring.

As a Mexican American botanist, she made many plant discoveries.  Come out and celebrate with us, and make your own flower press.  We will have flowers to press, or bring your own flowers from home.

How to register/cost: Supplies are limited so please call the park to reserve your spot.  Program is free with paid park entrance or Texas State Park Pass.  Entry is FREE for children 12 years and younger.  13 and older is $3.00 per person.
