Borderlands Loteria

Celebrate Mexico's independence here at the Fort by playing a traditional game of Loteria with a twist.
Join Ranger Arian to learn about the impact of the Mexican Revolution on the Borderlands by using site specific loteria cards with Big Bend imagery.
Reservations are required due to limited space. Please email Arian Velazquez-Ornelas to reserve a spot.
Date: Saturday Sept. 19, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Where: Fort Leaton State Historic Site. Located on East FM 170 (River Road), approximately 1 mile outside Presidio and 51 miles west of the Barton Warnock Visitor Center. The activity will be held in the Formal Parlor of Fort Leaton.
Bring: Bring a water bottle. All other materials will be provided for you.
Cost: This event is free with park admission, $5 per person 13 and older. Park Admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.
