First Day Hike - Opt Outside at the Closed Canyon

Opt to be outside today as the new year starts. Begin with a hike of Closed Canyon.

Start the New Year off on the right foot and join us for our annual First Day Hike. Adventurers of all ages and skill levels come together to explore the great outdoors as part of the Opt Outside challenge by focusing on reflections and gratitude for nature as we kick off the New Year.

Meet: Closed Canyon Trailhead 

Bring: Warm clothing, binoculars, water and sunscreen

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Purchase day passes online ahead of time to guarantee entry.
