Spring into Nature Journaling

1:00p to 3:00p
Fri, March 15, 2024
Stahr Seck
(432) 229-3613, x302

Create a nature journal with Ranger Stahr and Ranger Layla to remember your Spring Break 2024 trip to the Big Bend.

Calling all artists! Come take part in the tradition of self-expression that the Rio Grande has inspired for millennia. For over 12,000 years, humans have occupied the banks and surrounding areas of the Big Bend. Along with its unique resources, inspiration for art also flows in abundance. As the flowers bloom and the riverside brush becomes green again, record your spring break trip in a nature journal. Leaf rubbing, sketches of roadrunners, abstract interpretations of the blazing sun baking the rocky landscape... whatever your style, you are welcome to create with us.

What to expect: A crafty program to make a memento of your time in the park. Journals and crafting materials will be provided while supplies last.
