Ready to join thousands of people around the world identify and count birds in their backyard? Join us in our backyard to learn more about the GBBC, birding in general, and how you can participate.

The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is an international citizen science event occurring this year between February 15th and 18th. Participants are encouraged to spend some time birding in their own backyard. We will host a special event in the Tom Mays unit of Franklin Mountains State Park for folks to learn more about the great sport of birding, how they can participate, and submit their own checklist in time for the GBBC.

We will meet at the Tom Mays Bird Blind. See you there!
