Join the Franklin Mountains park rangers and the Sun City Astronomers for an evening of night sky fun!
Meet us at the Tom Mays Visitor Center to enjoy an evening of star gazing. We won't draw the line at stars though! We hope to get a good look at some of our neighbor planets also.
See you there!
Bring: water, snacks, and a flashlight with a red or green light setting.
Don't bring: White lights, as this will interrupt your night vision. If you do not have a flashlight with a red light setting, you can find free red light apps for your phone or use red cellophane to cover the end of a flashlight.
Optional: folding chairs, binoculars, camera, and star charts.
Fee: $5 for adults 13 years old and up; $0 for Texas State Park Pass holders and children 12 and under. Please purchase your day pass ahead of time at texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com as the visitor center itself will not be open.
