Become a Junior Ranger
Fri, March 17, 2023
Are you a 6- to 12-year old who loves nature and the outdoors? Become a Junior Ranger!
Have you ever wanted to stand in the shoes of a park ranger? Here is your chance! Join a ranger for an introduction to the Junior Ranger program. This program is recommended for ages 6 to 12 years old, with adult supervision. Participants will receive a Junior Ranger journal to complete during their visit to the park. Once the journal is complete, Junior Rangers will receive a badge for their participation.
Junior Rangers:
- learn how to protect the park's plants and animals
- teach their families and friends about the park
- follow park rules, protect the park and stay safe.
We will complete the Observing Wildlife challenge as a group by walking on the Oak Mott Trail. This hike has very little shade so hats and sunglasses are highly recommended.
- Bring: Sunscreen, bug spray, water, weather appropriate clothing and close toed shoes.
- Meet: Observation Tower
- Cost: Entry fee is $5 for adults and FREE for children 12 & under. Park entry free with a State Parks Pass.
*Events and programs subject to cancellation due to weather. Please contact park staff for more information and further updates.
