Learn to see nature's beauty in a new way.

Let the beauty found in Galveston Island State Park inspire you to pick up a brush and lay down some color. Create a one-of-a-kind souvenir, and make some memories with Ranger Lisa. All art supplies ready and available for use. Fun for the whole family!

We will meet at the bird observation, near the Clapper Rail Trail parking lot, for spectacular views and a quick art lesson. In case of inclement weather, please check with park headquarters.

What to expect:
This introductory painting program will review the important skills of water coloring and give visitors a chance to create their own painting. Everyone is invited for this easy lesson, but pets must be on leash. ADA accessible observation tower.  No restroom access.

**Groups larger than 15 people, please contact Ranger Lisa for a private event.

What to bring:

  • Creativity or curiosity
  • Binoculars (optional)
  • Water
  • Comfortable shoes

Where: Bird observation tower (on the Clapper Rail Trail, 1 block from parking lot)
