Fishing Basics for Kids

Learn the basics of fishing, knot tying, rigging, and casting from a park ranger. Then go fishing in the Frio River. We will be targeting the Rio Grande Cichlid for Texas Nature Trackers project that tracks fish populations.

This program is for kids 6-12 years old. A parent or guardian must be present with each child for the entire program. Participants will receive a certified angler pin. Fishing tackle and bait will be provided. Registration is required, call Ranger Jake 830-834-0419 to reserve your spot.
