Join us on a high-tech outdoor treasure hunt!
What is Geocaching all about?
What's a Muggle (other than "non-wizarding folk")?
What does "TFTC" or "FTF" mean?
Find out the answer to these questions and more when you join us for Geocaching 101! In this program, we'll use hand-held GPS units (provided), or even your Smartphone, to locate hidden "treasures" (called caches) around the trail. After practicing on some sample caches, we'll use our newfound skills to find a Texas Geocache Challenge cache!
Meet at the Boat Ramp Restrooms. Wear good walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring drinking water. All ages welcome!
Note: Park programs are open to the public and free with park entrance fee ($4 per person age 13 and up; children 12 and under are free). No need to register -- just show up!
