Take a walk with us as we search for some of the many bird species of Goliad State Park!

From the treed banks of the San Antonio River to open grassland, Goliad State Park offers diverse habitat that many bird species call home. Some of the birds commonly seen include green jays, long-billed thrashers, golden-fronted woodpeckers, olive sparrows, Inca doves, red-shouldered hawks, crested caracaras, eastern bluebirds, and many more. Join us as we search for our feathered visitors and residents! This walk is great for new birders and experienced birders alike.

No binoculars? No problem! Feel free to borrow a pair from the park at the beginning of the program.

Meet behind headquarters, under the big oak tree.

Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

Program is free with park entrance ($4 per adult, free for children 12 & under).

Subject to cancellation in the event of bad weather.
