Discover the birds that call Goose Island State Park home!
Join us for an exploratory bird walk along the shorelines of Goose Island State Park. We'll learn about and identify the birds we see on our route, which includes saltwater marshes, bays, and shorelines with many south Texas specialties likely to be seen. No experience required, all skill levels welcome! We even have loaner binoculars for those that don't have their own pair.
When: 9:00-10:30 A.M.
Where: Meet at the Observation Deck at Day Use
Bring: Binoculars, drinking water, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing. We have a limited supply of loaner binoculars available on a first come first serve basis.
Length of walk: You can expect to walk up to 1 mile, however we may not walk that far.
Accessibility: For questions on accessibility, email Ranger Sara: sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov
