Big Tree Birding
Fri, February 21, 2025
Come along with us to view birds at the Big Tree Natural Area!
What will you see beyond the Big Tree? Join our park hosts for a bird walk in an area of the park that is otherwise closed to the public. We'll observe birds in a variety of habitats including live oak forests, coastal prairies, marshes, and bay shorelines. We may even be lucky enough to see an endangered Whooping Crane!
When: Fridays from 8:30-11:00 A.M.
Where: Meet at the Big Tree parking lot.
Bring: Binoculars, water, comfortable walking shoes, bug repellant, camera, and weather-appropriate clothing. The park has loaner binoculars available while supplies last.
*There are no facilities available at the Big Tree Natural Area.
