Woodland Bird Walk with Kelly Bryan

Join retired TPWD Biologist Bryan Kelly for a walk through the woods in search of migratory warblers!
Spring migration is at its peak from mid-April through mid-May. This is a great time to bird the camping loop of Goose Island!
When: 8:00-10:00am (possibly longer if the birding is good!)
Registration: Registration is not required for this program.
Where: Meet at the Turks Cap Trailhead that is near campsite 157.
Parking: Parking is available at the Turks Cap trailhead.
Bring: Binoculars, water, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, camera, and weather-appropriate clothing. The park offers a limited number of binoculars available for loan on a first come first serve basis.
Terrain: Be prepared to walk up to one mile over fairly even terrain. For accessibility questions, email sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov
Suggested Age: This program is best suited for adults. It's recommended kids be at least 10 years old.
Pets: Please leave pets at home for this program.

- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Reserving your day pass in advance is strongly encouraged and can be done at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. Use self-pay station when office is closed.
