Native Flower and Butterfly Walk

Learn to identify Texas native flowers and butterflies!
The flowers are blooming and butterflies are abundant! Join a ranger and learn to identify some of Goose Island's native flowers and the butterflies that pollinate them.
When: 10:00am
Where: Big Tree
Bring: hydration, bug spray, and sun protection. Pants and close-toed shoes are highly recommended.
Accessibility: Accessible parking is available at Big Tree. A portion of the walk will be on a sidewalk, but much of it will be over grassy, uneven terrain. Email Ranger Sara with accessibility questions: sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov
Pets: Leashed pets are welcome
FYI:
-Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
-Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
-Groups larger than eight please contact Sara Rock for a private event.
-Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather
