Join us for a bird walk that goes over the birds that call the waters, marsh, and brush around Goose Island State Park home. Bird walks will be led by bird hosts.

Meet our Bird Hosts at the Goose Island State Park fishing pier for a morning bird walk. Plan on seeing a variety of birds on these walks, you can just observe or learn how to identify shorebirds in winter plumage. Other species are often seen in the brush along the island.

When:  8:00 a.m.

Where to meet:  The parking area next to the fishing pier.

What are we doing:  Bird-watching and walking.

Things to bring:  Binoculars, water, sunscreen, shoes suitable for walking, a camera, and wear weather-appropriate clothing. There will be a few pairs of binoculars available for loan, but it is best to bring your own.

Walks may be canceled or postponed in event of rain.
