Colors of the Canyon
Sat, November 14, 2026
Stop by the Picnic Pavilion to create beautiful artwork that captures the colors of Government Canyon.
Join a ranger any time during this come and go event to learn more about the plants and soils at Government Canyon, which you can use to create a memory of a fall afternoon to take with you. Pounded wildflower petals, soil, and leaves we're providing can be incorporated in your art...you choose!
Please don't bring any objects with you, as wood and seeds from other locations can bring pests with them. Please don't collect any objects yourself at Government Canyon. We'll provide everything you need.
Who Is Invited:
This activity is stationary (no hike), and artists of all ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. No pets please.
This is a public program intended for individuals or families rather than groups. If you would like to bring a group for a program at Government Canyon, please email the Park Interpreter to schedule at a different time.
