Craft an Aquifer

Join us for Earth Day Aquifer Crafting fun!

April 22nd – Earth Day Crafts for Kids: Build an Aquifer!

Government Canyon State Natural Area sits atop the Edwards Aquifer, a water source for millions of people in the heat of Texas.  Join us at the Group Pavilion from Noon to 2PM for crafting fun as we build a replica of the Aquifer to understand how rainwater flows through and beneath the landscape – sustaining households, businesses, farms, and ranches alike.

The PROGRAM does NOT require reservations, however…

The Natural Area can be very busy! To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please reserve and PRINT OUT your day pass.

Standard Natural Area entry fees apply. Open to all ages; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets please.

Meet at the Group Picnic Pavilion – Please show-up early as supplies are limited!

This program is subject to cancellation in inclement weather. Check status by calling the main office at (210) 688-9055.
