Give a HOOT!

Discover the masters of the night sky – owls!

Learn how owls are specially adapted to survive and thrive after the sun goes down. Join us at the Nathan & Anna Kallison Amphitheatre in Parking Lot C from 7:30PM – 8:15PM. We’ll also talk about the owls that call Government Canyon SNA home and how you can look for owls where you live. Open to all ages; no pets please. This program will be held in an accessible facility – let us know if you need any accommodations to make this program work for you.

Though the program itself is free, Natural Area entry fees do apply.

To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please reserve and PRINT OUT your Day Pass by going to: https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/government-canyon-state-natural-area/r/deDetails.do?contractCode=TX&parkId=1200058

IMPORTANT INFO: This is an after-hours program. If you DO NOT reserve your Day Pass in advance, you will need correct change at the entry Fee Booth and be sure to self-register there. Instructions are posted to the right of the Fee Booth: $6 per adult (13 years or older) or enter your annual Texas State Parks pass number on the appropriate line of the self-pay envelope.
