Map & Compass Basics: Finding Your Way in the Wild

Learn to use a map and compass! Join Phil Starr for a fun workshop to help you learn how to find your way around Government Canyon and other Natural Areas and Parks. 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. BYO compass or borrow one of ours. Open to everyone 12 years of age and older; class size is limited to the first 12 people who sign up. Sorry, no group reservations accepted. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. No pets please. Dress for the weather; bring water (1 liter per person), and a snack if you like. After the workshop you can try out your new skills on one of the many trails at GCSNA! Meet at the Exhibit Gallery by the main Visitor Center.
