Mother's Day Plant Walk

Why buy your mom flowers when you can look at beautiful wildflowers together instead?

This walk will be of moderate intensity. This trail is over rocky, uneven ground for a distance of 3-4 miles. 

Open to ages 8 and up; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets please. Sturdy shoes, sun protection, and at least 1 liter of water per person are strongly recommended.

Group size is limited to the first 10 people who register, so reservations are required! Reserve your spot online at the Friends of Government Canyon website. Registration opens on Saturday two weeks prior to the event and closes at noon the Thursday before the event. Sorry, no group registrations. 

All Natural Area entry fees apply. 

NOTE: Plan to be at the Visitor Center/Rock Garden and ready to go no later than 8:45AM; the hike starts promptly at 9:00AM. 

The Natural Area can be very busy in the morning! To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please reserve and PRINT OUT your Day Pass. Reserving a Day Pass is not the same as making a program reservation! Please make sure you have also registered for this program at the Friends of Government Canyon website.
