Homeschool Classes in the Park

Experience Guadalupe River State Park as an outdoor classroom in this program for school-age kids!
Guadalupe River State Park’s homeschool program is a set of outdoor classes for homeschool kiddos grades K-5. Classes are usually held on the second full week of the month (September through May), and you can choose between Wednesday at 10am, Thursday at 10am or Friday at 10am. We will cover a different topic every month, so don’t miss out!
Topics:
September- Fishing
October- Pollinators
November- Atlatl (Ancient Spear Throwing)
December- Wildlife in the Winter
Registration: Program is limited to 25 students. Register here.
Please register only if you are sure your child can attend. If your plans change, email jessica.bergner@tpwd.texas.gov to cancel so that another child can have that spot. There is no waitlist.
Prepare: Dress for the weather and bring water
Meet: Meet at the amphitheater behind the Discovery Center (except for Atlatl class--details will be provided via email sent on the Monday before classes)
Fees: None; Entry fees will be waived under an educational waiver for the student and their parent or guardian
