Join us for Stargazing!

Join us for stargazing! Members of the San Antonio Astronomical Association will be on site with their telescopes to point out the constellations, planets and more!

August's Star Party will be extra exciting because both Saturn and Jupiter will be visible! Don't miss it! Jupiter will be best observed starting about 8:45 or 9 pm, and Saturn will be visible as soon as it gets dark (after 8:30).

When: August Star Party will be drop in between 8:30 - 10:30 pm.
Time of each month's star party varies based on sunset; we will update this posting each month with that month's start and end time!

Where: This program will be held in the large overflow parking lot (just up the road from the big river parking lot). Look for the big blue "Stargazing tonight" sign on the park road just across from this lot.

If you arrive after hours and do not have an existing Day Use reservation, please use the self-pay station in the parking lot of the park office to pay your entrance fee(s) in cash.

(Other details: No need to register, just show up! Please note that you will need to enter the park before 10 pm, as the front entrance gate closes to incoming visitors at 10 pm.
