Holly Platz

Find out how saving water here at the park has an even bigger impact than you might think, then join us for an easy stroll beside the river.

What happens when the river doesn’t flow? Join us for a fun presentation and find out how your actions to conserve water at the park affect you, wildlife, and more!

Held at the Amphitheater from 10 am to 10:30 am

Followed by a Nature Walk along Bald Cypress Trail, 10:30 am - 12 noon

After the presentation, join us for an easy nature walk along Bald Cypress Trail (about 1 mile round-trip). We’ll walk to the famous Guadalupe River rapids, exploring all aspects of nature along the way. Wear comfortable walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring drinking water. All ages welcome!

Feel free to join us for either program or stay for both!  --  Held at the Amphitheater behind the Discovery Center

All programs are free with park admission of $7 for ages 13 and above (12 and under free) or a current TPWD park pass. No need to register -- just show up!

**Save the date! Reserve your spot online ahead of time to guarantee your entrance to the park -- even if it closes for capacity. You can do this up to 30 days in advance with your credit card, or for free with your Annual Texas State Parks pass: https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/
