Birding for Beginners

Join a park ranger for this introduction to birding and a guided hike to practice your new skills.

No experience required. All ages are welcome.

Where: Meet in front of the HQ building. Hiking distance will be approximately 1.6 miles. Trail will include rocky and uneven walking surfaces.

What to Bring: Water bottle, sun protection, wear comfortable hiking shoes, dress for the weather; you can bring your own binoculars if you have them.

Cost: This program is free with admission ($6 per person 13 years and older, free for visitors 12 years and younger; free with Texas State Parks Pass).
