Celebrate Independence Day participating in one of this country’s oldest outdoor activities.
In the early days of this country, fishing was one of the ways people were fed. As this nation has grown, fishing is still a popular outdoor recreational activity. For food, yes. But also for sport, the challenge and the community. We are joined by our fishing partner Fishings Future that not only provides the activity, but education as well.
This activity will take place at the Boathouse in Day Use area. Rods and bait will be provided. Wear your weather/activity appropriate and patriotic gear. Bring water and sun protection. This program is free with your day pass. This program is accessible. Please follow all Staff and volunteer safety instructions. This program is weather dependent.
