Before the bow and arrow was developed, ancient Texans successfully hunted large game such as bison, with a weapon used by many ancient civilizations all over the world. Come learn more about the Atlatl and then try it for yourself on our range.

Meet:  At the archery range beside the dump station

Requirements:

• Participants must be at least 8 years of age.
• Participants must sign a liability waiver
• Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Items to Bring: Sunscreen, water, close toed shoes, and weather appropriate clothing.

This event may be cancelled in the event of bad weather or other unforeseen reasons.

Program is free with paid park entrance fee, children 12 and under enter for free.
