Firearm Safety and Air Rifle Basics *Registration is Required

Learn firearm safety and then try your hand on our air rifle range

Join park Rangers and learn the basics of firearm safety, then test out your skills on our awesome range!

Two 1-hour sessions will be held. Available sessions are 11am-12pm, and 12pm-1pm. 

Registration is required to participate in this event. To register for this event, send an email to andrew.berezin@tpwd.texas.gov

Be sure to include the names and ages of each participant along with which session you would like to attend. 

All equipment is provided.

Meet:  The shooting range beside the dump station.

Requirements:

• Participants must be at least 8 years of age.
• Participants must sign a liability waiver
• Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Items to Bring: Sunscreen, water, close toed shoes, and weather appropriate clothing.

This event may be cancelled in the event of bad weather or other unforeseen reasons.

Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. On busy weekends, reserve your day use pass early online! Please note: You do not need to register or make a reservation for this event, just be sure you have a day pass purchased for everyone attending.
