TPWD Veteran Mental Health Awareness Ruck Hike

Join us on an easy ruck hike as we partner with Burnet VFW Post 6974 to raise awareness for a good cause.
The local Burnet VFW Post 6974 and Inks Lake State Park are partnering for our third annual Veteran Mental Health Awareness Ruck Hike!
This will be a non-competitive (FUN) hike on a fairly easy trail with varying lengths possible for participants.
When: Saturday, September 26th
- Check in: 9am-10am
- Hike: 10am-12pm
Where: Meet at the Pecan Flats Trailhead
Those that qualify can also receive a Texas State Parks Veteran or Active-Duty Pass at the park headquarters. Texas Parklands Passports — Texas Parks & Wildlife Department
Important notes:
- ADA accommodations are available
- An EcoRover Tracked Wheelchair will be available for use
- Lunch will be provided by the VFW following the hike, and there will also be free kayak and fishing equipment rentals for participants
- Please note: You do NOT need to register or make a reservation for this event
