Discover Lake Casa Blanca's ancient past on the 1st hike in our series!

Lake Casa Blanca has four miles of hiking and biking trails, each with a very different feel. In this four-week series, we'll hike a different trail each week, and find out about each trail's unique features.

White-tail Loop trail is an easy 1-mile trail that runs alongside fascinating geology. 40 million years ago, this area bordered the sea, and strange animals like tarsiers and tiny four-toed horses lived in the jungle-like vegetation nearby. Scientists have found fossil remains right here beside the trail. Join us for this hike as we discover Lake Casa Blanca's past.

Meet at the Boat Ramp Restrooms. Wear good walking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring drinking water. All ages welcome!

Note: Park programs are open to the public and free with park entrance fee ($4 per person ages 13 and up; children 12 and under are free). No need to register -- just show up!
