Geocaching 101

Become a modern-day treasure hunter!

Geocaching is all about looking for hidden treasure—or caches—in the great outdoors. Join a ranger to learn what it is and how you can take part in the fun, then try out a mock geocaching course! Lake Corpus Christi State Park also has three real geocaches hidden in the park that you will learn how to access, and participants get to take home a prize!

Meet: At the Birding Area.

Bring: Water, close-toed shoes, and your sense of adventure!

Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is $5 for everyone 13 years and older, free for 12 and under.

• This program is open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• If no participants arrive for the program within 15 minutes of the start time, the program will be considered canceled.
