Join Ranger Hannah on an exploratory bird walk, using sight and sound to ID birds of all sizes! Great for families, campers and those looking to enjoy the outdoors before it gets too hot.
What to Expect: Set out on a walk tailored to your group to identify birds using calls and binoculars on the way.
When: 9:00am - 10:00am
Where: Start at Castle Parking Lot
What to Bring: Water, Binoculars (optional, we have some small ones), Cameras (optional)
This event is:
- Free with normal park entry fees
- Dog friendly
- Family/Kids friendly
Accessibility:
The Longhorn Trail is mostly flat and winding. It is not paved.
Parking is in front of the Castle; the trail to the bird viewing area is paved with caliche.
