Birding 101: An Introduction to Birding

Do you have an interest in birding but don't know where to start? No worries! We can help!

What To Expect: This is for complete beginners and those just starting out! Join a ranger and learn how to use binoculars, other birding supplies people may use, useful apps and guides, migration patterns in the area and common birds in the area.

At the end, we will go on a bird walk and talk about visual and auditory identification.

Where: Castle/Kiskadee Trail/Bird Viewing Area (meet at Castle first)

When: 9am-10am (longer if people have questions)

Accessibility: The parking lot is paved and leads to a flat caliche trail. It may not be completely smooth, but it is possible to navigate in a wheelchair. We have the GRIT freedom chair available for free upon request.
