Mid-Week Bird Walk

Camping mid-week and wishing for programming? Look no further than the Wednesday evening bird walk! Great for winter Texans and families alike.

What to Expect: Set out on a walk tailored to your group (could be thirty minutes, could be two hours!) to identify birds using calls and binoculars on the way.

When: 4pm 
Where: Start at Bird Viewing Area

What to Bring: Water, Binoculars (optional, we have some small ones), Cameras (optional)

This event is:

• Free with normal park entry fees
• Dog friendly
• Family/Kids friendly

Accessibility: 

The Longhorn trail is mostly flat and winding. It is not paved. 

Parking is near the bathhouse behind the birdblind; the trail to the bird viewing area is paved with Caliche.
