Stargazing at the Park!

Learn about the stars and constellations visible above East Texas.
Take a tour of the night sky to learn about the stars. Rangers will show you some of the most popular constellations and tell the stories behind them. There may be an opportunity to view any visible planets or nebulae through a telescope. The visible stars and planets change a little each month, so you’ll see new things each time you come to visit!
We recommend bringing a blanket or lawn chair to sit on, binoculars if you have them, and a flashlight to help you walk back to your campsite or vehicle.
This event will take place on the peninsula near the park activity center. Follow the landscape lights out to the event.
Regular park admission fees of $6 per adult ages 13 and up apply; no additional charge for activities.
