A Walk on the Dark Side

Take a night hike and learn about nocturnal adaptations.

Do you ever wonder why your dog’s nose is always wet or why foxes have such big ears? Have you found yourself asking questions like: how many tastebuds do catfish have, and can you really be as blind as a bat? Get answers to these questions and more as we discuss nocturnal adaptations on this 0.5-mile night hike!

When: Saturday, August 22 from 8 to 9pm

Meet: Honeybee Hill Trailhead

Bring: Water, closed-toe shoes, UV or red-light flashlights

This event is free with park entry: $5 per person, kids 12 & under free. Park admission is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Day passes can be purchased at our Self-Pay Kiosk or ahead of time on our reservation engine.
